Nasi Goreng Kampung

As salam and good morning!

It's been a while isn't it? Sorry for being so silent lately. I am away for family vacation and had been busy with my children's activities.

So, here is one of my very own version of Nasi Goreng Kampung - one of Malaysians' favourite fried rice.  This time I'll share the recipe with pictures. :)

Nasi Goreng Kampung

2-3 cups of cooked rice (cooled)
6-7 long beans (cut into small pieces as in picture)
1 big red onion (sliced or pounded)
3-4 green chilies (sliced thinly)
1/2 cup dried anchovies(washed and dried)
2 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Cooking oil
Fish sauce

1. Fry the dried anchovies until crunchy. Toss and set aside

2. Sauté onion, green chillies until fragrant. Then add garlic powder and oyster sauce. Mix well.

3. Add long beans and cook for 2-3 minutes.

4. Add rice and mix well.

5. Add fried anchovies and mix well. Season the fried rice with a few dash of fish sauce.

6. Served.
